The Analytics section in your community's admin panel can help you generate reports. Simply click on it and you will be able to start creating your reports.
There are several report types that you can generate. These include:
- Content Interaction Report (data for which users have completed (or opened) which content and when)
- Course Interaction Report (data for which users have completed (or opened) which course)
-Content Publication report
-Course Publication report
-Quiz question report (Data on quiz questions, including who has read them and the answers given)
-Poll question report (Data on poll questions, including who has read them and the answers given)
After you have chosen the report type, you will need to select if you want to filter your data by channel or members. There are three options: obtain data for the entire community, filter for specific channels or filter for certain users only.
The third step that you will need to do is to choose a date range.
A report can be generated for any time period no longer than 90 days. This means that if, for example, you would like to generate a report for a period of 180 days, you will have to generate 2 reports, split in between the desired time frame.
After selecting all of the above, you have the option of naming your report. Once this is done click on Generate Report. Your report will be created and stored in the admin panel for 30 days. During this time frame you have the option download it as many times as you want.
Please bear in mind the following:
1) The reports are in csv format, which can be easily manipulated in Excel. The separator between each cell is the "Tab" character, not the "," ( as comas can be part of the cells text itself, which could cause significant confusion). Also, there is no limit in terms of size of the file, so be conscious that, depending on the size of your community and activity, these files can be quite large (e.g. 20MB +).
2) The reports are divided in columns, whose header can be found just below the "generate report button". See below for an example.
